Coleman's Corner was established in 2020
by former NFL player Marcus Coleman
and his wife, Lisa Coleman.
While visiting underserved schools throughout the US, they noticed that participation in youth sports and daily activities has declined. Statistically, this can lead to health issues, but more importantly, remaining physically active p
Coleman's Corner was established in 2020
by former NFL player Marcus Coleman
and his wife, Lisa Coleman.
While visiting underserved schools throughout the US, they noticed that participation in youth sports and daily activities has declined. Statistically, this can lead to health issues, but more importantly, remaining physically active promotes healthy growth and development.
As a former NFL player, Marcus knows the importance and benefits of daily physical activity. Along with Lisa's love of reading and research that supports the benefits of reading, they created Coleman's Corner.
At Coleman's Corner, we want to educate children on the importance of exercising the body and mind, and the early introduction of these skills will help create positive lifelong habits.
In 2024, Coleman's Corner added two innovative initiatives that empower the youth in our community.
HYPE advocates for at-risk youth and those in need by providing vital resources and support to help them thrive.
Soy Latina empowers young women to become leaders of tomorrow by connecting them with influential Latina role models from our community.

Coleman’s Corner will host youth football camps, introducing youth workouts and donating books to local elementary schools throughout Texas and Louisiana to help create these healthy habits.
